Fundraising Coordinator Employment Agreement
Fundraising Coordinator Employment Agreement
I, Ms. Kristin Fay Carter, hereby acknowledge that I will be employed with
the Pacific Green Party (PGP) of Oregon, as the PGP Fundraising Coordinator
at the pleasure of the PGP State Coordinating Committee (SCC). After a trial
period of 3 months (beginning on the date I sign this agreement), the PGP
SCC will evaluate my ability to work with others, my job performance (including
the duties listed below), as well as my success in meeting financial targets, to consider whether my employment will continue. I understand that the PGP may terminate my employment for cause or due to financial considerations at any
time. This agreement will be re-evaluated by me and others after three months.
The terms of my employment will be for an average of 20 hours per week,
not to exceed 80 hours per month. I will provide the PGP SCC with a monthly
log of my fundraising activities, including my time devoted to them. The PGP
agrees to pay me $800/month while covering all payroll taxes, including social security and workman’s compensation. A bonus of 25% of monthly revenues in excess of $4,000 will also be provided (for revenues raised by me or under my supervision).
I take the responsibility for providing my own transportation, applicable to
my fundraising duties, with the understanding that the PGP will reimburse me
for these costs on a reasonable milage basis.
The PGP agrees to supply me, as Fundraiser Coordinator, with contact lists,
reporting forms, and office supplies and equipment — all with the understanding
that these lists, forms, and supplies are not to be shared beyond the PGP unless specific SCC approval is given. The PGP also agrees to pay phone charges,
printing costs, postage, and miscellaneous expenses incurred in discharging
my fundraising duties — with the understanding that expenses beyond what are
anticipated in the approved annual budget must be approved by the SCC before
they are incurred.
Fundraising Coordinator Duties:
* Develop and maintain fundraising instrument inventory: phone scripts,
fundraising letters, newspaper inserts, relevant PGP web site pages.
* Organize, schedule, and conduct regular and special fundraising mail-in
campaigns.
* Work with the Finance, Outreach, and Media Committees and network
with other individuals and groups to propose and develop new fundraising
ideas, projects, events, or campaigns.
* Coordinate fundraising efforts with those of PGP Chapters.
* Maintain the PGP membership databases, in coordination with the Inter-
nal Communications Coordinator and PGP Treasurer.
* Maintain regular communication with the PGP Treasurer to ensure full
compliance with state campaign finance laws.
* Attend the meetings of the PGP SCC, providing statistical reports which
cover membership and fundraising efforts and returns (electronically by
the Wednesday prior to each scheduled SCC Meeting).
I agree to uphold my duties to the PGP as Fundraising Coordinator, and
to perform specific responsibilities that may be assigned to me by the SCC
that relate to my duties.
