Minutes of PGP-SCC phone conference, April 2, 2010
Present: Charles Newlin (notetaker), Suzia Aufderheide (Facilitator), Michael Meo, Michael Van Handel, Pat Driscoll (Treasurer)
Minutes of last meeting adopted by consensus.
Treasurer's report (Pat Driscoll): Current balance $3900, about even, March was a typical slow month. Pat will send a letter to new members based on next registration list received.
Time to start FEC fundraising? Pat: not yet, wait for more
nominations. Rick Staggenborg has his website up, can accept
donations. Trifold needs updating - Charles to send about what's needed. Michael Van Handel will prepare a monthly report on registrations based on Sec. Of State web site data.
Adjustment of National Representatives: carried over.
Endorsement of letter against Wyden's forestry bill: carried over.
Proposed items on State Convention Agenda: First day will be
nominations, followed by setting up a voter registration drive.
Second day, a business meeting, will be over bylaws changes on
candidates accepting union donations and on removal of non-participating SCC members, followed by election of new SCC members
New Business: Portland chapter has made arrangements with a
professional fundraiser who approached them; Michael Meo was advised to coordinate this activity with Pat Driscoll, which was done when Pat joined the call.
Campaign Report: Michael Meo has found a graphic designer named Arthur Delaney, a new Green, who will help with campaign materials. 2 people from Yamhill County came to a Portland chapter meeting wanting help with organizing there.
