Nominating convention January 16, Portland

The next Pacific Green Party of Oregon convention will be held at Metanoia Peace House, 2116 N.E. 18th Avenue, Portland, on Jan. 16, 2010.

Prospective candidates for state or federal offices are urged to seek nomination at this time.

New, significantly increased fees for voters' pamphlet statements have been partially mitigated by new provisions for publication of candidate statements based on registered voter signatures. Some candidates may wish to seek early nomination in order to gather such signatures in advance of critical campaign activities.

This will not be the only nominating convention to be held in 2010. Further details on the convention schedule and agenda will be announced in the next few days.
