Secretary of State candidate to bike to every Oregon county
Seth Woolley, the Pacific Green Party candidate for Secretary of State, will leave his home in Portland September 15, by bicycle, on a month-long campaign swing to every county in Oregon. Follow his campaign on flicker.
Secretary of State candidate Seth Woolley
This is the first time in Oregon history that any candidate will visit every county by bike.
“This is the green way to campaign,” said Woolley, who will use solar panels to charge the technology accompanying him on the trip.
Woolley will visit with as many county clerks as possible to learn first-hand how the state’s elections can be better run. He will also meet with voters, Pacific Green Party members and the press.
His complete itinerary can be seen at facebook.com/sethwoolley. The public will be able to track his progress, read reports from the road and see video interviews posted at seth4sos.org and on facebook.
Woolley’s Secretary of State campaign is emphasizing better elections, smarter state audits and healthier forests. The Secretary of State is one of three members of the State Land Board which governs management of State Forests. Woolley has also pledged to implement the campaign finance reforms of Measure 47 which the incumbent Secretary has failed to do.
Interviews with the candidate can be arranged by calling 503.953.3943 or by email to seth@seth4sos.org.
