Notice: Public Health and Social Justice Website

PGP member Dr. Martin Donohoe, of the School of Community Health at Portland State University, sends us information about his website covering public health and social justice containing open-access educational materials regarding issues relevant to the Green Party. The website can be accessed at.

The site contains articles, slide shows, syllabi, and other documents relevant to topics in public health and social justice. References for most of the information contained in the slide shows can be found in the accompanying articles. Presentations are updated once to twice per year. The site has received over 60,000 hits since its inception less than 2 years ago, and currently receives about 4,500 hits per month.

The site is aimed at students, educators, and the general public. Materials on the website address the social, economic, environmental, human rights, and cultural contributors to health and disease. Visitors to the site should feel free to use information from the articles and slide shows, indeed even the slides themselves, with appropriate citation. Submissions of material are welcome.
