Breaking NEWSPacific Greens of our Linn/Benton Chapter along with allies have qualified a Ranked Choice Voting initiative for signature gathering in Benton County. We are gearing up to gather the signatures required to place the initiative on the November 2016 ballot and need funding now to print petitions and volunteers to circulate petitions. The initiative changes the method by which the County Commissioners and Sheriff are elected, to Ranked Choice Voting. A Political Action Committee has been formed, an initiative petition filed, and a website is up (Better Ballot Benton). The chief petitioners are Dan Rayfield, State Representative for House District 16, and Pacific Greens founder Blair Bobier.
