THIRD PARTIES SLAM ELECTIONS DIVISION

Four of Oregon's political parties have sent a joint letter to the Oregon Secretary of State attacking the Elections Division for bias and lack of transparency in sending a notice to non-affiliated voters about party registration.

“This is another example of how the system is stacked against third parties, whether intentional or not,” said Dr. Alan Zundel of the Pacific Green Party. “The notice prominently displayed how to register with a major party while registering with a minor party was left to a small, general aside at the bottom of the page.”

Pacific Greens of our Linn/Benton Chapter along with allies have qualified a Ranked Choice Voting initiative for signature gathering in  Benton County.  We are gearing up to gather the signatures required to place the initiative on the November 2016 ballot and need funding now to print petitions and volunteers to circulate petitions.

The Pacific Green Party is saddened to announce the passing of our long-time member, and a giant of the environmental movement, Stu Sugarman. Stu was first and foremost an activist. He was also a lawyer with a giant heart, a quick wit and a sly and self-deprecating sense of humor.

Green VICTORY! FERC issues decision to deny Jordan Cove LNG permit

Call for Youth Caucus vote on Co-sponsorship of the GPUS Economic Democracy Platform Amendment

A few weeks ago, the Young Greens proposed an amendment to the Green Party's platform that rejects capitalism in favor of more sustainable, just, and democratic economic models. After hearing comments via email, our website, and Facebook, the YGUS Steering Committee has unanimously endorsed the proposal, and calls on all Young Greens to lobby their state’s National Committee members to vote to pass the amendment.
