Pacific Greens of our Linn/Benton Chapter along with allies have qualified a Ranked Choice Voting initiative for signature gathering in  Benton County.  We are gearing up to gather the signatures required to place the initiative on the November 2016 ballot and need funding now to print petitions and volunteers to circulate petitions.

Ranked Choice Voting Initiative Launched!

BREAKING NEWS

The Pacific Green Party of Oregon and the Linn/Benton Chapter are launching an initiative campaign in Benton County, Oregon, to elect the County Commissioners and Sheriff by Ranked Choice Voting. A Political Action Committee has been formed, an initiative petition filed, and a website is up (Better Ballot Benton).  The chief petitioners are Dan Rayfield, State Representative for House District 16, and Blair Bobier. Bernie_Pledge_2016.png   If you are a Pacific Green Party member who has changed your voter registration to Democrat in order to vote for Bernie Sanders in the May 2016 primary, please protect grassroots democracy in Oregon and make a pledge to re-register with the Pacific Green Party after the primary.  The number of voters we have registered in our party is vital to our ability to place Green Party candidates on your ballot.
