π’ Join us this Land Day β March 30th at 12 PM β for a powerful march and rally!
On March 30, 1976, Palestinians rose up in protest against Israelβs theft of thousands of acres of land in the Galilee. Six Palestinians were killed, hundreds injured, and countless more arrested β but their resistance sparked a movement that lives on. Land Day has since become a symbol of steadfastness (Sumud) in the face of colonization and displacement.
This struggle is not ours alone. From Palestine to Turtle Island, Indigenous peoples around the world continue to resist land theft, ethnic cleansing, and erasure.
This Land Day, stand with Palestine. Stand with all Indigenous peoples fighting for liberation.
March will be roughly 1.7 miles, flat, and on paved roads. The park may have unpaved areas.
