Why do you want to pursue this role? What interests you about it? What are the top issues you're campaigning on?

I want to pursue this role to ensure that voters in Oregon’s Fifth Congressional District have a Green candidate on the ballot and a meaningful alternative grounded in peace, ecological responsibility, social justice, and care for future generations.

I am inspired by peacemakers, gardeners, organizers, young people, and those working to build a livable future seven generations and beyond. I want to use this campaign to amplify their work, strengthen the visibility of the Pacific Green Party, and help create lasting connections between electoral politics, mutual aid, community organizing, and creative civic engagement.

My top campaign issues are ending war and redirecting resources toward human and ecological needs; addressing the housing crisis through deeply affordable social housing and tenant protections; confronting climate change while protecting land, water, and biodiversity; and building an economy that supports working people, young people, and communities that have been dispossessed or excluded from political power.

Ecological wisdom

Ecological wisdom matters to me because it asks us to understand that human life is not separate from the living systems that sustain us. We are participants in a vast web of relationships: soil, water, air, plants, animals, climate, community, and generations yet to come. When we ignore those relationships, we create policies and economies that exhaust the Earth while also harming the people with the least power.

I care about ecological wisdom because it offers more than environmental protection. It offers a way of making decisions. It asks whether our choices support life, restore balance, respect limits, and remain viable seven generations into the future. It values reciprocity over extraction, stewardship over domination, and resilience over endless growth.

As an artist, gardener, parent, and community member, I see ecological wisdom as both practical and spiritual. It means protecting clean water, healthy forests, fertile soil, biodiversity, and a stable climate. It also means building housing, transportation, food, and energy systems that work with planetary processes rather than against them.

For me, ecological wisdom is inseparable from justice. Communities that contribute least to ecological destruction often suffer its greatest consequences. A livable future requires repairing those harms while creating systems in which both people and the Earth can thrive.
