Why do you want to pursue this role? What interests you about it? What are the top issues you're campaigning on?

I’m running for Governor because too many Oregonians are living in constant anxiety and misery — fearful of losing housing, losing health care coverage, or being unable to afford groceries to feed their families and electricity to keep the heat on.

I’m running because I know Oregon can do better — we can build an economy that guarantees basic security for every citizen, and a government which protects our civil liberties from corporate and federal oppression, while truly restoring our Democracy.

Social Justice

If a person is one illness away from bankruptcy, one rent increase away from homelessness, or one layoff away from losing health care, they aren't truly really free.
Social justice is making sure that the foundations of life — housing, health care, and basic economic security — aren’t permanent sources of fear for working people.

Social justice isn't just about economic liberation, but political liberation as well.
If ordinary people can’t keep billionaires and corporations in check through political means, then democracy itself becomes nothing more than a pretense for oligarchy.

In short, true Social justice means no Oregonian should live in constant fear of losing housing, health care, or basic dignity. Equal opportunity means that the rules of our economy and our democracy give ordinary people a fair playing field, not just the wealthy and politically powerful.
