Local socialists/progressives are celebrating Red Books Day on February 21, the anniversary of the 1848 publication of The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
This Saturday, February 21, at noon, we will meet at the Benton County Courthouse (120 NW 4th St, Corvallis). We will read aloud The Manifesto (abbreviated to fit in an hour event) and give away copies along with other progressive literature. The event is sponsored by local affiliates of Committees of Correspondence for Socialism and Democracy, the Pacific Green Party, and Platypus Affiliated Societies
