“We need to scale down the Cold War rhetoric with Russia… Russia's assistance will be necessary in dealing with global terrorism. Volunteers needed for Hempstalk 2015

hempstalk_2015.jpg   Once again it is time for Hempstalk and the Green Party will be there registering voters and passing out literature promoting the Green Party.  I need a crew of 3-4 core volunteers to help staff the booth for the festival.  The event will be at Waterfront Park in downtown Portland next weekend.  I am looking for coverage on Saturday afternoon from noon to dusk and Sunday morning till noon.  This will be a great opportunity to promote and recruit our candidates, register voters, pass out literature, gather donations,  educate the community about our ballot initiatives for 2016, and celebrate our newly won right to legally use recreational marijuana.  Please contact me by phone at 503-756-5801.  Thanks!  Emma

Stop TPP!

tpp2.JPG

TPP needs to go to the US Congress in coming months. Once they read the actual text (which has been secret until now) more will turn against It. They can defeat it - but they can’t amend it.  Both Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have voiced their opposition to the deal, which shows what a political tightrope the deal would be walking in order to be passed.  We need your help in expressing your OPPOSITION to the TPP by contacting your Oregon congressional representatives.  Click here for talking points.

Why it could be President Bush & VP Kasich

jeb_0.jpg    Do not “misunderestimate” the fact that 80% of the votes in 2016 will be cast on electronic machines, with access controlled on electronic registration rolls. With this comes a network of private, partisan, for-profit companies that favor the Bushes.   Unless something is done before November 2016, there is no public recourse on any of the machines on which this election will be conducted. They are privately owned. The source code is proprietary. The boards of election have no access. There will be no meaningful recounts.  Link to full article can be found here.
