The Wage Peace Coalition, Oregon began meeting in January, 2023 and is made up from activists representing a number of organizations. The group has grown to include Jewish Voices for Peace (main participant), CodePink, the Corvallis Divest from War Coalition, DSA, the Progressive Party, World Beyond War, Veterans for Peace, and others.
There are many angles to this intersectional struggle; a militarized society affects the poor, BIPOC, and women and children the most. We have ideas for several events in the next few months where we can build bridges.
